boss he couldn t use lights and sirens to get through the traffic any quicker. the unnamed agent told him he could only do it in an emergency. what s your response to that. the lights and sirens, we had that with the cha any administration, certainly tied up traffic to the vice president s house. but for the epa administrator, that s ridiculous, where is he going and coming from? the $50 a night room he s got with a lobbyist, he s busy trying to deregulate the energy industry. this is the kind of thing the american people are fed up with in washington. they haven t drained the swamp, they made it worse. his scandals seem to be piling up, the first class flights, security detail, the 50 bucks a night rent, what
when it comes to his cabinet and members of his administration, the swampy water appears to be getting deeper here to discuss richard painter and doug high, a republican strategist. hello, gentlemen. richard, sources are telling cnn tonight that the lead agent in charge of scott pruitt s detail got booted after he told his boss he couldn t use lights and sirens to get through the traffic any quicker. the unnamed agent told him he could only do it in an emergency. what s your reaction? the lights and sirens, we had that with vice president cheney during the bush administration, certainly tied up traffic going back and forth to the vice president s house. but for the epa administrator, that s ridiculous, where is he going and coming from? the $50 a night room he s got with a lobbyist, he s busy
reporting about pushing people out, called him on that. what does he do? what is pruitt s future? i think the more we talk about it. and the more pruitt becomes a lightning rod by critics of the president without one real tangible example. it is probably that $50 a night room. i think the president becomes emboldened. if he were i know this sounds odd. if he were to inclined to cut him loose, he doesn t want to do it in the face of criticism. oddly the more hot he becomes the more longevity he becomes in the short-term. if the rapt against the critics is they are criticizing his ideology. yeah. that s the argument you ve got. there is a series of ethical scandals, problems, and distractions. one thing the president doesn t like is when people get too high
how do you get past that one? on top of two staffers allegedly, apparently went around scott pruitt to try to secure $80,000 in raises on top of the $50 a night room we rented from an energy lobbyist, on top of the first class and military flights he took because he couldn t fly in coach because he felt threatened by people, weren t happy with his policies. i mean it s a run of negative news we haven t seen since tom price, the hhs secretary. i don t know how he survives, candidly, in any sort of basic political analysis, it feels as though the bleeding has not been able to be stopped by scott pruitt. we know that donald trump hates nothing more than negative headlines he himself does not caus cause. i don t know how he makes it.
liberals care about clean water and air. how terrible are we that we care about places like flint, michigan, and other places in the country where the regulations that are in police station, some of which scott pruitt is rolling back, protect our children from poisoned water. and i think that certainly, any republican administration would have been doing these similar actions by rolling back regulations that the conservatives didn t like, but i think what scott pruitt is doing is essentially he represents the level of chaos, corruption, excess in this administration that we re seeing in a number of different cabinet officials and that s because donald trump s white house is chaotic and so these officials feel like they can run rough shod over their agencies. susan, what does this mean, that as long as scott pruitt is carrying out this agenda, he can do whatever he wants, have a $50 a night room, have a soundproof booth in his office, he can have a bullet proof desk, which he s reques
