HC notice to Delhi govt on PIL seeking financial rehabilitative assistance to bonded labour victims ANI | Updated: Jan 07, 2021 18:53 IST By Sushil Batra New Delhi [India], January 7 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Thursday issued notice to respondents on a PIL seeking direction to the Arvind Kejriwal government and others to grant immediate financial rehabilitative assistance to the victims of bonded labour in the national capital. The plea referred to assistance, as applicable under the Central Sector Scheme 2016 (CS Scheme, 2016) and in compliance with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued vide order dated July 4, 2018, passed by the Delhi High Court. After hearing the submission of the petitioner s counsel, the Division Bench of Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh sought a response from the Delhi government, Union Ministry of Labour and Employment, and others and posted the matter for February 8.

ANI NEW DELHI: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday sought the responses of the Centre and the AAP government on a Public Interest Litigation seeking recovery of back wages due to rescued child and bonded labourers. A bench of Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice Prateek Jalan issued notices to the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Delhi government and the police over the plea filed by the father of a now-rescued child labourer.
