The Kerala government announced that there have been no new positive cases of Nipah virus, with 42 samples from high-risk contacts testing negative. The State Health Minister stated that test results for more samples are still pending. The minister also mentioned that vigilance and caution need to be exercised for 42 days from the last positive case, which is the incubation period for the virus.

The contact list of infected persons has been extended to 1,233 names and over 34,000 homes in containment zones were visited by health workers | Latest News India
