Do yourself a Thai flavours favour and book your New Year’s Eve dinner at Front Room, the Waldorf Astoria’s vibrant, high-ceilinged, lower lobby level Thai restaurant.
Named for the cosy sociable rooms in typical houses, Front Room only reopened in early November, starting out again with a fresh concept that celebrates the eight distinctive flavours of Thai cuisine (sour, sweet, nutty, salty, spicy, bitter, astringent, mild and mouth-watering mixes in between) presented ‘ros mue mae’ (cooked by mum) style.
And thanks to rarefied input by Dr. Niphatchanok Najpinij (Ajarn Ning) who learned from her mother, legendary Thai culinary wiz Asst. Prof. Kobkaew Najpinij, together with equally celebrated Chef Supanant (Ann) Khanarak, it’s got off to an impressive start.

The Waldorf Astoria Bangkok has reopened its doors along with a fresh new culinary concept for Front Room, now featuring the eight distinctive flavours of Thai cuisine. Inspired by the idea of home-cooking, Front Room chef Supanat Khanarak and culinary professor Niphatchanok Najpinij hope to cultivate tastes that are akin to a mother’s homemade meal while encompassing all the unique sources of Thai flavour.

New Indian breakfast canteen and wine bar HERE launches on the ground floor of Restaurant Gaa at Sukhumvit Soi 53. Helmed by chef Garima Arora, the experience at the venue’s breakfast canteen opens daily from 7:30am to 5pm featuring healthy and wholesome Indian dishes. From 5pm onwards, it becomes a wine bar offering an a la carte menu to be enjoyed with an exclusive Old World wine list put together by Restaurant Gaa’s sommelier Fr
