Views: Visits 44 A Nigerian man and his four Indian accomplices have been arrested in Ghaziabad, India for allegedly duping women on matrimonial sites by posing as doctors and engineers. Those arrested were identified as Prince, Yazzid Abeodh, Akshay, Ajit and Manish. The matter came to light after a woman lodged a complaint with the police alleging that she had been duped of Rs 7 lakh (3,651,770.97) by the accused. The accused persons posed as doctors and engineers on matrimonial sites and approached the women there, Nipun Agarwal superintendent of police said, Tuesday, 2 February. After gaining their confidence, the accused would ask them for money, Agarwal added.

The dispute that allegedly pertains to land grabbing , led to the death of a 45-year-old man, the police said on Thursday.  Allegedly, the dispute was between a Dalit family and members of the Thakur community. Three persons, who were Thakurs, were also involved in the attack that took place on Wednesday. Two of the accused were arrested by the cops.

Image Source: IANS News Shahjahanpur : , Dec 17 (IANS) A 45-year-old Dalit man in Uttar Pradesh was allegedly shot dead and four members of his family sustained injuries in an attack mounted by a group of armed men who fired indiscriminately. It involved an old dispute over a property. The incident took place in Bighapur Kesari village in Shahjahanpur on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Drigpal. The four injured are Kaladevi, Aadhram, Babli and Savitri Devi. The dispute was reportedly between the Dalit family and some members of the Thakur community.
