One MP, Terry Coe, said there were concerns that Telecom Niue had yet to connect to the undersea cable, Manatua, while there had been unexplained spending within the government agency.
As for BCN, he said there have been problems of no signal in some areas for the past six months, while the programming was poor.
Coe said there was very little variety in shows with lots of repeats.
In reply, BCN chief executive, Trevor Tiakia, said the signal had been down for the past two months in some areas because parts being shipped from China were delayed.
