Guests who book with RIU Hotel's direct channel are now covered under the Spanish hotel chain's health insurance programme, dubbed ‘RIU Protect’.
Niurka Garcia Linton, RIU's Director of Sales in Jamaica, outlined that under RIU Protect, clients are covered if they become sick during their stay at any of the chain’s resorts.
"RIU has its own insurance. If you book with our direct channel, it costs the client nothing, but if you get sick in destination, it covers basically everything even if repatriation is necessary.
