Yellowknife school delays reopening by 2 days
N.J. Macpherson School plans to reopen to in-person learning on Wednesday instead of Monday because of how long it s been taking to get COVID-19 test results back; all staff and students at the school have to receive a negative test before returning to class.

N.W.T. MLA who broke isolation removed as chair of accountability committee
MLAs voted to remove Tu Nedhé-Wiilideh MLA Steve Norn as chair of the standing committee on accountability and oversight after he visited the legislature while he was supposed to be isolating.

The N.W.T. MLA who visited the legislature during a 14-day isolation period has now been removed as chair of the legislature s standing committee on accountability and oversight.
1 new COVID-19 case, 20 recoveries reported in Yellowknife
The outbreak connected to N.J. Macpherson School grew to 64 confirmed cases, according to an update from the N.W.T. s chief public health officer on Thursday. 44 of those cases are active.
