Despite problems accessing the building due to the narrow alleyways in the neighbourhood, 15 units of fire service eventually took control of the situation after battling the flames for almost two hours. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far. The factory was situated on the ground floor of the abandoned building. The authorities suspect the fire was sparked by an electric short-circuit, said Chawkbazar Police OC Moudut Hawladar.
