NOIDA: Three men allegedly robbed a private company’s executive of Rs 15,000 and some jewellery on Saturday. The victim, identified as Mohammed Tanzeem, who had an early morning train to catch, was standing at the Sector 12/22/56 T-point around 5.30am to for a commute till Anand Vihar railway station.
According to the complainant, two men approached him and asked if he wanted to go to Anand Vihar as they were also headed there, to which Tanzeem replied in the affirmative. After a while, a WagonR car approached them and the three men got on board. Soon after, the accused drove the vehicle towards the Noida-Delhi border via Jhundpura and stopped the car.

NOIDA: A man was arrested on Sunday for striking a Rs 10 lakh deal with the exam solvers’ gang to get a job in Delhi Police.
The accused was identified as Praveen Singh, an applicant who was ready to pay the amount for the job, police said.
TOI in November last year had reported that a gang operating in NCR was busted after the arrest of an assistant section officer (ASO) working with the ministry of defence and two Delhi police constables for running the racket.
Six persons, including the owner and superintendent of an exam centre, were arrested in connection with the racket that helped at least 100 persons get jobs in different positions with ministries, Delhi Police, Haryana Police and other departments.

NOIDA: A general manager with the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has been arrested for allegedly trying to mow down a traffic police constable at Khoda intersection with his car.
The man, identified as Ajay Singhal, works in NTPC s fuel management department, an official from the corporation said. According to police, the incident happened on Sunday evening when Anaatmak, the constable, was controlling traffic and issuing challans at the intersection. He had spotted a biker travelling on the wrong side and was clicking a photo of the motorcycle to issue a challan against him.
Traffic inspector Ashutosh Singh said Ajay, who was travelling in his white Swift (UP64AL0911), thought the constable was clicking his photo and sped towards Sector 56. “Anaatmak saved himself by jumping to the side, or else he would have suffered a leg injury. A few metres ahead, Ajay stopped and got out of his car,” he said.
