to route for the packers. the packers are going to win. you know what? that s a pretty smart pick. todd, thank you very much. and david corn. we ll be right back. by the way, this sunday s super bowl, the two teams, the pittsburgh steelers and the green bay packers represent well, they are basically what the election is going to be about. the real battleground. remember from scranton to oshkosh? how about pittsburgh to green bay. same terrain. that s what it s about. coming back we will have our own best sportscaster in the washington area both coming back in just a minute. [ male announcer ] you are a business pro.
for the pittsburgh steelers. you can t say enough about thbo of these towns. they both have incredible defenses. their quarterbacks, though, to me are the bigger story. ben roethlisberger is going for a third. then you have aaron rodgers who really, you could argue was the hottest quarterback in the nfl towards the end of this season. including into the playoffs. i think when you ve got somebody on his game in the zone as much as he was, it s tough to compete with that. but then you have roethlisberger out at a piano bar on tuesday. did you hear about that? no. i did. he was drinking beer, breaking all the rules. lindsay, you re the best. i know your pick. let s move on. we ve got an expert on football coming up here. ed rendell does color commentary for years for the eagles. pronounced i-g-g-e-l-s, the
table football wise. now that you re a political commentator, i want you to tell me what you would recommend the president of the united states say when he gets interviewed by bill o reilly in the pregame on sunday. he has a chance to talk to some of the most vigorous fans in the game, not just the country. ice. the people that north always vote for i always vote for eastern team and vote for nonexpansion teams. i like the basic list that we started with. that s big city. what does he say to these guys? you know the election will depend on pennsylvania, ohio, wisconsin, indiana, michigan. it will depend on them. i think he should just say what you and i said. this is a great game because it s the heritage of the nfl and that neither green bay or pittsburgh would either have canceled a football game because of snow. okay. let s talk about who will win this thing. who willie gei win?
lindsay, we re back. we were chatting the other day. re s two teams named after working people, the steelers, the guys make steel. if the back eer packers, they pk meat. i love it, this is america. what s the feel of the team like? go ahead. i m glad you didn t hit me when i said i thought green bay was going to win when i saw you in the hall way yesterday. but the culture is what uh yo said, these are both blue collar teams, cities that really wrap their arms around these two football teams. obviously the pittsburgh steelers have won the super bowl six time, the packers have done that three. but, you know, these are cultures that football football is everything in these towns. for example, i don t know if you heard about this. it s very interesting. there s a hospital in pittsburgh that just this week began wrapping all the newborn babies
would be right. i think the state of the union speech although not the typical soaring obama rhetoric was also a good leadership vision speech and people are starting to think of him as a leader. who s he going to run against? you can t tell me how hard it will be in an individual state until you tell me who the opponent is. why are republicans unable to come up with a star? they look like they are still pining for jeb. i think the problem is there s a huge split in the republican party. if i were in charge of the republican party and by the way this will be the kiss of death to the guy i m going to mention, mitt romney would be the candidate. no ifs and or butts about it to talk about the economy and job creation. mitt romney don t think can get the nomination because of health care. thanks so much. thank you very much. governor ed rendell rooting for the pittsburgh steelers. let me finish with the 100th anniversary of the birth of
