3. Even higher snow totals are expected near petersburg and richmond. Again, for most of the viewing area, this will be a rain event. We would not be surprised with the rain at times, but overall, it will be rain. Some of the rain could be heavy at times late tonight through friday ponding on roads. Big changes in downtown norfolk today. The old Norfolk Circuit Court demolition is officially underway news channel threes Makenzie Walter is live at the construction site. Around 8 o clock this morning construction crews started to tear down this old courthouse behind me. They say this demolition period will take 6 to 8 weeks but when its all over downtown norfolk will be a much more functional and not to mention better looking place. Brick by brick nats the old Norfolk Circuit Court begins its transition to a new and improved downtown civic plaza.
