A light winter storm swept through Massachusetts and much of southern New England on Tuesday, bringing as little as 2 inches of snow to eastern parts of the commonwealth and as much as 5-plus inches to the interior of the state.
Reports of snow began to trickle in Tuesday afternoon and continued overnight. The precipitation is expected to last in Berkshire County until as late as 10 a.m., forecasters said. Much of the state will see snow keep falling until between 7 and 9 a.m., with the precipitation stopping earlier in Eastern Massachusetts.
