Social justice advocates said Tuesday s announcement that a North Carolina District Attorney ruled deputies were justified in their use of force in the fatal police shooting of Andrew Brown Jr., highlighted another problem in the criminal justice system. ABC NEWS– A North Carolina District Attorney has ruled that the police shooting death of Andrew Brown Jr. was justified, showing portions of body camera footage of that deadly incident to the public for the first time. Brown’s death in Elizabeth City last month is sparking protests and calls for transparency as well as further police reform.
