Interior today announced results from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s wind energy auction for five leases offshore California.

On December 6 and 7, 2022, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) held a competitive auction for five lease areas off the coast of California.

Offshore wind, of the floating variety, will be coming to the States with the award of $757m in leases off the coast of California.
