This year’s grand prize home is a 2,338-square-foot, four-bedroom, two-bath home under construction at 1909 W Moselle in Coeur d’Alene, valued at $563,000.
Nary a dry eye could be found in the audience as it was announced Thursday evening that Eva Santiago-Rosenberg is the 2024 Kootenai County Boys and Girls Clubs Youth of the Year.
"I’m feeling just overwhelmed with so many good emotions,” the New Vision Alternative High School junior said after the announcement, surrounded by congratulations and well wishes from friends and loved ones.
“This is definitely a new experience for me," she said. "I’m glad that I’m here, for sure.”
Local nonprofit organizations and causes are recipients of various means of support throughout the year, from pocket change to oversized checks and from helping hands to business sponsors.
Jamie Morgan has won a few prizes in her life, perhaps a gift basket here or there.
“I win like small stuff, like when you put your card in at events,” she said Wednesday evening.
She can now add something much larger to her prize-winning portfolio a $590,000 home, compliments of the North Idaho College Foundation's 30th annual Really BIG Raffle.
