Palm Beach Daily News
Beauty entrepreneur and home-shopping television star Adrien Arpel has sold her lakefront house on Palm Beach’s North End for $25.375 million, the price reported this week in the multiple listing service.
She owned the four-bedroom house at 1020 N. Lake Way on a lot of nearly a half-acre under her married name, Adrienne Newman, courthouse records show. She paid $5.2 million for the property in 2001 when she was married to her late husband, Ronald Monroe Newman, records show.
The sale closed Tuesday, the MLS shows, but the deed was still working its way through the recording process Friday, so the buyer’s identity isn’t yet known. It’s also unclear if the price reported in the MLS will match the one to be documented by the Palm Beach County Clerk’s office.
On North Lake Way
The Glasers bought the North Lake Way house in 2017 for a recorded $5.6 million when it was ripe for renovation. With longtime ties to Miami Beach, the couple said at the time they were attracted to the house’s nautically influenced architecture, which includes porthole windows, a curvilinear silhouette and pipe railings.
With six bedrooms, the house has 6,040-square-feet on a lot with about 65 feet of lakefront and a dock, where the Glasers kept Sea Tabby, their vintage Trumpy yacht.
Agent Suzanne Frisbie of Premier Estate Properties acted on the Glasers’ behalf in the sale last week. Brown Harris Stevens agent Whitney McGurk confirmed he and colleague Liza Pulitzer handled the buyer’s side.

The sale also testifies to the demand for lakeside properties, especially those with deepwater docks, which have become increasingly scarce of late in the island s grab-and-go real estate market.
In the latest of those deals, developer and builder Malasky Homes has sold, for a reported $19.25 million, a just-completed Bermuda-style house on a lakefront property at 1280 N. Lake Way, about midway between the Palm Beach Country Club and the north tip of the island.
The elevation of the half-acre property affords water views from both floors of the five-bedroom house, which features a covered loggia that looks across the swimming pool and beyond the bike trail to 88 feet on the Intracoastal Waterway. In all, the residence has 7,486 square feet, records show.
