NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) The North Mankato Taylor Library is providing creative ways for adults to get crafty.
Locals ages 18 and up can register for the library’s take-and-make crafts, where they receive a bag containing numerous crafting materials and instructions on how to make each project.
The take-home bag makes crafting much more convenient for participants.
“Since we’ve started just doing the take-and-make kits, oh my gosh, it’s just taken off even more. We have so many people signing up for these because I think people are looking for things to do and a reason to escape from whatever stresses that they have every day,” says Hallie Uhrich, teen/outreach librarian at the North Mankato Taylor Library.

NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Thereâs no doubt this year has been a rollercoaster, but it hasnât all been bad, and the North Mankato Library is encouraging all of us to look on the bright side as we reflect on 2020.
A PositivaTree is now on display on the library patio. Anyone is welcome to put an ornament on the tree that says something positive about 2020.
âI think there is some positivity that has come out of 2020. Slowing down, being with immediate family, I know my husband and I arenât rushing out to different events, weâre at home more so people just need to look for the bright side,â says Katie Heintz, Director of North Mankato Taylor Library.
