Only One Candidate in Armstrong Special Election

Armstrong, IA (KICD) There’s only one candidate for the special mayoral election in Armstrong next month.
Travis Schueller – who just happens to be the Superintendent for the North Union School District – is the only individual to have nomination papers filled out and filed with the Emmet County Auditor by the noon Friday deadline last week.
After elected-mayor Greg Buum was charged with financial irregularities and resigned, the council appointed Dave Grussing mayor. The public then filed for a special election and Grussing decided not to run.
