A SOMERSET cafe will be able to stay open longer and serve alcohol in a larger outside area following a change in its licence. Alison and Matthew Haskins run the SunSpot Cafe Bar in South Road, Brean, which serves a large clientele from the nearby caravan and holiday parks. The couple applied to amend their existing licence in order to keep pace with the government’s coronavirus restrictions and allow for a more gradual “drink-up” time on their busier days. Sedgemoor District Council has now granted them this change in their licence, despite concerns about noise levels from the property.
