Wayne Atack was sentenced to three years in prison at Chester Crown Court on Monday, December 21. The 37-year-old, of Milner Road, Swinton, Greater Manchester, had earlier pleaded guilty to eight counts of burglary and theft. The court heard that Atack broke into 28 separate new build homes in Cheshire between Wednesday, February 26 and Thursday, November 26. The majority of the offences took place overnight at building sites in Northwich and Warrington. A building site in Sandbach was also targeted. On some nights Atack broke into as many as seven separate addresses. He stole boilers, security lights, toilet cisterns and appliances, which were valued at a total of more than £34,000.
POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in relation to a woman being racially abused in a supermarket in Cheshire. On Saturday, December 5, officers became aware of an incident at Asda Barons Quay, Northwich, where a woman was racially abused by a group of three unknown men. The incident occurred at about 5pm while the victim was shopping with her younger sister. Following the incident, two of the men were removed from the store by security staff. Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers have released CCTV images of two men they are looking to speak to as part of their enquiries.
Shopper racially abused in Asda Northwich POLICE are investigating a hate crime at Barons Quay. On Saturday, December 5, officers became aware of an incident at Asda where a woman was racially abused by a group of three unknown men. The incident occurred at around 5pm the same day while the victim was shopping with her younger sister. Following the incident, two of the men were removed from the store by security staff.
