A new distillery is set to open in York city centre with bars, a shop and visitor centre.

The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame (CHRHF) Induction Gala is taking place this evening (Wednesday, Aug. 9) at the Mississauga Convention Centre, honouring the Classes of 2022 and 2023, including some of the biggest names in Canadian Standardbred and Thoroughbred racing.

Classical Cat, an impressive winner of the one-mile Eddie Logan on turf Dec. 30 at Santa Anita, might switch surfaces and take a shot on the Triple Crown trail for trainer Phil D’Amato.

The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame congratulates the people and horses being recognized as inductees in 2022. Five people and three horses have been elected from an extremely deep ballot of candidates.

The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame congratulates the people and horses being recognized as inductees in 2022.  Five people and three horses have been elected from an extremely deep ballot of candidates.   

Having now fully recognized and inducted those named to the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame as the Classes of 2020 and 2021, the Standardbred and Thoroughbred Nomination Committees have determined the categories and finalists to appear on the ballot presented to the Election Committees, from which the Class of 2022 will be selected.  

The catalog for the 2022 Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society (British Columbia Division) Yearling and Mixed Sale is now online, featuring 77 horses.
