A 21-year-old died on Thursday after he crashed a car he was driving while attempting to flee from Port Orange Police Officers, according to investigators.

Montrail Johnson, 32, fled from Port Orange police and crashed in South Daytona, dying of injuries he suffered, police said.

The victim, Terrell Gilmore, 34, died at the scene of the crash on Nova Road just north of Reed Canal Road, police said.
