The world is still not using one of its most effective weapons against COVID-19 properly ventilating public spaces more than two years into the pandemic, experts warn.
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the country remains under a low Risk classification with less than 1 per 100,000 daily attack rate. However, she said cases continue to increase with the country recording 710 new cases daily, higher by 257 cases compared to last week.
The Department of Health said Saturday that most of the cities in the National Capital Region are noticing a slight uptick in new COVID-19 cases.
The Philippines on Friday logged 287 new COVID-19 cases, increasing the nationwide COVID-19 tally to 3,692,617. Based on the DOH’s latest data, the country's active case count increased to 2,697 from 2,529 on Thursday.
