Top small-cap gainers of the week include Nucleus Software Exports, Shakti Pumps, Ion Exchange, Newgen Software Technologies and Suzlon Energy.

In the midcap segment, only Supreme Industries rose in double-digits with 13% gain. New India Assurance and Crisil were distant close, with 9% and 7% gains, respectively.Among the Sensex pack, Nestle India topped the charts with 3.07% returns, followed by Ultratech at 1.07% and Power Grid at 0.6%.

In terms of levels, 19550 – 19500 is the crucial support zone while 19640 – 19660 shall act as an immediate hurdle zone, says Jatin Gedia – Technical Research Analyst at Sharekhan by BNP Paribas.

BSE Sensex dropped 247.78 points, or 0.38 per cent, to end the session at 65,629.24. NSE's Nifty50 declined 46.40 points, or 0.24 per cent, to end the day at 19,624.70 for the day.
