The City of Iqaluit often disagreed with the way Nunavut's Departments of Health and Community and Government Services responded to the city's water crisis in October 2021, according to a third-party review commissioned by the territory.
That was no small sewage spill that took place Monday evening in Rankin Inlet, the hamlet has learned to its dismay. Community and Government Services has confirmed the volume of the spill: 331,500 litres.
A massive snow dump reached the hamlet of Clyde River, Nunavut, while its bulldozer and one loader were out of service. Residents worked to clear snow so that trucked water and sewage services could reach homes.
