JOHOR BARU, April 8 ― A Royal Malaysian Navy logistics chief has been remanded for six days starting today to assist in investigations into fake claims amounting to RM24,250.
Magistrate Nur Izzaty Muhammad Zahari issued the remand order for the 36-year-old suspect at the Magistrate s Court here.
This was following his arrest by the Johor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigators yesterday.

JOHOR BAHRU: Two officers from the state’s Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (MAQIS), who were detained last night to assist in the investigation of the frozen meat cartel case, were remanded for five days, starting today.
The remand order until January 11 was issued by the Johor Bahru Subordinate Courts’ Assistant Registrar, Nur Izzaty Muhammad Zahari after allowing the remand applications by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The remand period would allow the two suspects, aged 27 and 31 years, respectively, to be further investigated under Section 17 (a) of the MACC Act 2009.
