When the late Jerry John Rawlings-led junta of the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) summarily executed the three Akan-descended Accra High Court Judges – the Ignatius Kutu Acheampong-led junta of the Supreme Military Council (SMC-1), having equally summarily abolished the institution of the Supreme Court of Ghana – it definitely was not because the mood of the country was in any way dead-set against the evenhanded administration of justice in the country.
