MINOCQUA - On Jan. 4, just two days before the deadly riots at Congress in Washington, D.C., brewpub owner Kirk Bangstad created the Minocqua Brewing Company SuperPAC to help unseat prominent Republican leaders who likely will be on the 2022 ballot for voters in northern Wisconsin.
Two weeks later, the super PAC has raised over $50,000, and already spent some of it on billboards calling on two GOP politicians to resign from Congress.
“Obviously we hit a nerve,” Bangstad said. “Although the (people) who believe the election results are fraudulent are more vocal, the vast majority of Wisconsinites know that the election was fair and square.”
