Almost two months into his role as Cedar Rapids Police Chief, David Dostal has been busy. Between the day to day work of running the department, he has spent time visiting with community members, attending rallies and traveling to Des Moines to support a bill to regulate the use of traffic cameras.

Later this year, the city of Cedar Rapids will unleash its first neighborhood dog park in the Oak Hill Jackson neighborhood near the New Bohemia District. Another dog park is in the works on part of the old Jones Golf Course.
