Work to revamp the footbridge at Oakham Railway Station has been completed after an£856,000 project. Network Rail reopened the footbridge on Wednesday (March 31)having started work to strengthen and spruce up the bridge last October. Alongside vital repairs to the metalwork, a new protective wall along the edges of the bridge and improved flooring was installed, and a fresh coat of red and white paint applied.
