Companies, across seed, early and late-stages, had raised about $185 million from 31 rounds in the period from February 3 to February 9, 2023, as per data from Tracxn. The most significant amount of capital raised this week was in the early stage, at about $122.6 million, accounting for about 79% of the overall deal value. Seed-stage funding came next at $23.5 million, commanding 15%.
The investment will be made through both primary infusion and secondary purchase from early-stage investors, Indian Angel Network and Lighthouse Funds. Existing investor Oaks Asset Management also infused an additional Rs 60 crore in this round.
NEW DELHI: India-based fast food chain Wow! Momo has sold a 15 per cent stake to Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd for 3.5 billion rupees (US$42 million), Indian media reported on Tuesday.
The Indian startup ecosystem managed to raise $724 million through 32 deals. This week's investment was 8.5 percent higher than the $667 million raised last week by Indian startups.
The Mumbai-based company said in a statement it will use the funds to enhance its platform to innovate and penetrate deeper into the ecosystem in order to provide working capital solutions.
