One of the potential designs for the play area. Pic: Woodley Town Council Woodley Town Council has secured £200,000 to be spent on a new play area in Woodford Park. The funds were donated to the council through the Wokingham Borough Council, via Section 106 Developers monies, specifically for the creation of a new play area in Woodford Park. This has led to a number of different designs being drawn up by experts, of which have been shortlisted to three options. Now, the council is asking residents for their thoughts and opinions, hosting a consultation period until August 2021. A spokesman for Woodley Town Council said: “This exciting project gives us an opportunity to deliver a fantastic new play space for residents and visitors and we want your views and comments on the designs we have received.

Another example is a ditch in front of Our Lady of Mount Carmel school. There is so much trash in there and it has been there for as long as I can remember. The trash that is just thrown on the ground without care is extremely unacceptable and something needs to be done.
