God s Final Call | Adventist World

The claim was big, the letters bold across the top of the Time magazine cover for November 2-9, 2020: “The Great Reset.” At the beginning of the special double issue of this well-respected international magazine, readers were informed that “the COVID-19 pandemic has provided a unique opportunity to think about the kind of future we want.”1 Inside the magazine, thought leaders from around the world offered their vision for a new kind of world reimagining just about every aspect of life and urging the time for this “great reset” is now. 3 Min Read Published on: 01-22-2021 “Lift up the trumpet, and loud let it ring, Jesus is coming again!” As Seventh-day Adventists, we have sung this song for many years, looking forward to the Second Coming of Christ. However, as the decades have rolled by, some have wondered if Christ is really coming soon. Today, however, it seems that more and more people are waking up to the fact that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis one described in the Bible as leading up to the Second Coming of Jesus. The topic of the Second Coming is vital throughout the Scriptures. One Bible scholar counted at least 1,500 biblical references to the Second Coming, noting that 1 in every 25 verses in the New Testament is about the Second Coming of Jesus.

I didn’t start learning Spanish until three years after college, and I didn’t visit the country until I was almost 30. As a young man, I wasn’t scared of flying and had no need for such balsams to get through it. And finally, I used to think gin a repugnant swill old people pretended to like out of feigned sophistication.
