There are Reports Tonight that a us official says israel intends to launch a Ground Offensive in lebanon, which could begin as soon as today. Israeli tanks are gathering by the countrys northern border. Israels Defence Minister, who was visiting troops today, told them the next phase of the war will begin soon. Hezbollah has said its prepared for all out war. Lets go straight to lebanon and the capital beirut, anna foster. There is a realfeeling of momentum in the Middle East tonight, after the israeli Defence Minister told his troops on the board at that the military would use force by air, Sea And Land to achieve the aim of returning displaced israelis back to their homes. They said the killing in beirut of the hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah was not the final step. There have been reports that israeli Special Forces had launched some raids inside lebanon but that has not been confirmed. Lucy williamson has been to northern israel and sent this report. Good evening. Israel has declared an area around its border with Lebanon A Closed Military Zone and has told the united states that its going to launch a limited Ground Operation against hezbollah. Earlier today, the Deputy Leader of the iranian backed Military Group said they were ready to face israeli soldiers. President biden has called for an immediate ceasefire, a view echoed again tonight in the uk by foreign Secretary David Lammy. As to other major events there were two shooting incidents that caused injuries to victims over the past week. One was 500 block of alamany in the ingall side district. Our victim was inside a residence. Heard gunshots and realized she had been shot. That one we are still looking for leads and again anybody that has any information please call the tip line at 415 5754444. The second one, 1115 at 4 17 a. M. We dont have the exact location where this shooting happened. Our victim was selftransported to the hospital. It was a gunshot wound by the time the officers arrived the victim was undergoing surgery and was unable to provide any information leading to the shooting. We do have some spot shotter activation around the town of the shooting so we are investigating whether that activation or those shot

To work across the aisle on severalse pieces of legislation. This afternoon this morning wer got to hear the farewell peach of my friend, lamar alexander. Hes a fantastic speaker and legislator. Its been an honor or to serve with him and to learn from him. Now you get to hear from the accountant. [laughter] i rise today to give my Farewell Speech on the floor of the u. S. Senate. Its been an honor of a lifetime to serve the great people of wyoming in this position for f e last 24 years. Ive really enjoyed being a senator. Not for the title, not for the recognition and, certainly, not for the publicity. I love solving problems for folks in wyoming and america. I like working on legislation.
