SPRINGFIELD A community task force has scheduled a “town hall” virtual meeting on Tuesday to provide detailed information about coronavirus vaccines and to dispel myths about it.
City officials will join with the Springfield Vax Force Committee to host the meeting from 6-8 p.m., with information provided by the 17-member committee.

MANILA – Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle will be serving another post at the Vatican, aside from being the prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples.
According to Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) news website, Pope Francis appointed Monday the Filipino cardinal as a member of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See (APSA), which operates the Vatican’s central bank.
Springfield schedules public hearing to consider Comcast Cable license renewal

The hearing is at 6 p.m.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the hearing will be conducted online. The public can participate via Zoom with advance registration, or watch on the city Office of Communications Facebook page.
Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, as the statutory licensing authority, approved a 10-year contract extension for Comcast in 2012. A new 10-year license would start Dec. 27, 2021.
The purpose of Tuesday’s hearing will be to review the performance of Comcast “and to hear testimony on future cable-related needs and interests of the Springfield community for the next 10 years,” the city said in a news release.
