Serenade of the Seas docked this morning in Ketchikan. Alaska U.S. Senator, Lisa Murkowski, joined a welcoming party comprised of Alaska s Lt. Governor, city and borough officials, and other community members on Friday.
In an interview with News of the North on Thursday, Murkowski said she was pleased to be there for the first one. She helped champion the Alaska Tourism Restoration Act in Congress that played a pivotal role in allowing cruises to begin again in the state.
