Business hi parents. The sergeant leaves behind a wife and children. He goes by tony. And he has been with us since 2005. He had Prior Service at another local Police Department prior to that. He was promoted last year. A great guy in this department. A fantastic family man. Now, the man accused of killing the two officers, Scott Michael greene of urbandale, iowa. Police responded to a call about gunfire in des moines. When they arrived, they found officer martin deceased in the patrol car. Then the sergeant who had been responding to the scene was also found shot in his patrol car. Eight hours later, greene essentially turned himself in. Greene ditched his pickup truck and was walking along a trail in a neighboring county 30 miles away from des moines when he flagged down a state police officer. He showed the officer his id and asked him to call 911 and was arrested without struggle. Greene was taken to the hospital for a preexisting medical condition. They wouldnt specify what that i
