Becker County and its Personnel, Vivian Anderson, Josie Johnson, Matthew H. Johnson, John Freeman, and Michele Clayson acting in their individual capacities, and Todd Glander and Paula Peterson acting in their individual and official capacities, Defendants. Plaintiff Kyle Allen Rusness was in custody at Becker County Jail (“BCJ”) from January 17, 2015, to February 3, 2015, at which time BCJ staff transported him to a hospital. Mr. Rusness brings this action alleging five counts against Becker County and its personnel under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and Minnesota common law. Defendants move for summary judgment on all counts. ECF No. 57. For the reasons stated below, summary judgment for Defendants is granted on all five counts.

Fatal Hit-And-Run In Studio City STUDIO CITY On Sunday, December 27, at approximately 5:40 p.m., an 85-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Studio City.   The woman was walking in a crosswalk when she was fatally struck by a car turning right onto Lankershim Boulevard. The vehicle is described as a black sedan. A description of the suspect was not immediately available.  Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.  The Los Angeles Police Department is offering an award of up to $50,000 for information regarding the incident. (Shutterstock) STUDIO CITY, CA An 85-year-old woman was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident on Sunday, with LAPD still searching for a suspect. The hit-and-run occurred around 5:40 p.m. near Lankershim Boulevard and Moorpark Street. LAPD said the woman was walking in a crosswalk on Lankershim Boulevard, when a car driving east on Moorpark Street turned right and hit her. The driver fled the scene rather than stopping to check on the victim. LAFD paramedics arrived and took the victim to a local hospital, where she died. Her name was not yet released until relatives could be notified.
