London's British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A) are set to temporarily repatriate a combination of 32 gold and silver Asante artifacts back to Ghana.
PM Rishi Sunak s spokesperson said the UK expected Ghana to return the artefacts which include 13 pieces of Asante royal regalia - at the end of the loan period. The items were stolen after British troops looted the royal palace in Kumasi during the Anglo-Asante wars of 1873-74 and 1895-96
