(AFRICAN EXAMINER) - Enugu State which pride itself as the 'Coal City' state' was created on August 27, 1991 out of the then Anambra State (from what was formerly known as Anambra North) by the regime of Ex- Nigeria's military president, General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, fondly known as IBB. It has its capital in Enugu.
