More than 60 Ogeechee Technical College faculty, staff, students and family members received COVID-19 vaccinations Tuesday during a college sponsored clinic in the Oak Room at the Natural Resources Building on campus.
Ogeechee Tech partnered with Ben Ross of Forest Heights Pharmacy to administer the Moderna vaccine doses to the OTC community. Second doses will be administered May 4.
“Conversations about hosting an on-site internal clinic began last fall,” said Felicia Barefoot, Ogeechee Tech’s Exposure Control Coordinator.

The recent violence prevention forum hosted by the One Boro Commission unpacked several screen-loads of statistics as the victim services and advocacy organizations Safe Haven and The Teal House, as well as police agencies, sought to show the community the size of the problem.

Jack Hill and his late wife Ruth Ann recently created a scholarship endowment of $25,000, which will be called the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Scholarship.
The family of Jack and Ruth Ann Hill signed an agreement recently with the Ogeechee Technical College Foundation to create the “Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Scholarship” fund. The self-perpetuating scholarship endowment of $25,000 will be used to assist OTC students.

Students in the Ogeechee Technical College Fish & Wildlife Management program were featured recently in the Georgia Department of Natural Resources fall volunteer newsletter for constructing large bat boxes for the Evans Public Fishing Area.
