Team members have begun preparations for a 47-person team to deploy this afternoon to Moody Air Force Base in Georgia.

The task force that was assembled to make recommendations to help sustain volunteer fire service in Ohio will hold a listening session Aug. 17 at Penta Career Center, 9301 Buck Road, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. The meeting is free and open to the public.

After search and rescue efforts ended in Eastern Kentucky, Ohio Task Force One didn't go home. Instead, the team of 45 staged at a hotel in Lexington just in case they were needed again.
