A MAN was fined £490 and handed 100 hours of community service for assaulting a police officer in Bromsgrove. Jermaine Hoosang, 36, of Rotton Park Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, initially pleaded not guilty to the charge of beating PC Rushton on October 10, 2019, but later changed his plea to guilty. In other cases heard by Worcestershire Magistrates, Jake Farmer, 34, of Hodnet Drive, Pensnett, Brierley Hill, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £360 for drug-driving in Bromsgrove. Farmer pleaded guilty to the charge after being found with cannabis in his system while driving on Old Burcot Lane on July 17, 2020. Arron Mold, 22, of Amwell Grove, Kings Heath, was fined £244 after admitting to assaulting Ibrahim Ovunc in Bromsgrove on September 15, 2020.
