A 74-year-old mother and her 45-year-old daughter were killed when their Nebraska home exploded last Dec. 8. This came not long after a domestic abuse protection order was granted to the mother against her grandson.
The casualties were identified as Theresa Toledo, 72, and Angela Toledo, 45 of 4810 S. 51st St. The blast severely damaged two other homes on the Omaha block according to Omaha Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Fitzpatrick.
Aside from Theresa and Angela, other household members were injured. This included Larry Rodriguez, Theresa’s partner and grandson Alexander Toledo, 27. Both were transported to the Nebraska Medical Center. The latter was flown to a burn unit in Kansas City for treatment, The Omaha World-Herald reported.
