The Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) 50th Anniversary Celebration tour heads to The Raceway at Western Fair District on Friday, May 31 with four $20,000 Grassroots Series divisions for three-year-old pacing colts featured on the Camluck Classic undercard.
As the calendar turns to June this Saturday, stakes action ramps up in a major way at Woodbine Mohawk Park on June 1 with divisions of the Somebeachsomewhere for three-year-old male pacers, the opening leg of the Graduate Series for four-year-olds, and a leg of the Miss Versatility Series for trotting mares.
Recognized as the true pioneer track of the province where harness racing under the lights made its debut in 1961, Western Fair Raceway has been a proud host of OSS competition since the very beginning.
R Liza used the pocket ride to victory in Monday evening's $140,000 first Gold Series leg of the Ontario Sires Stakes for sophomore trotting fillies at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
