Ontreal Rainfall News Today

The skies opened up Monday afternoon in Vaudreuil-Dorion with more than 60 millimetres of rain falling in less than an hour, causing minor flooding in homes and businesses.

A total rainfall amount of 40 millimetres is expected until Monday morning. The federal weather department said that localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible due to the excess rainfall. The city of Montreal has identified eight zones across the island that are most at risk for flooding.
