Northville Downs hosted three $20,000 Great Lake Stakes that were contested on Saturday (Sept. 30) evening at the Northville, Michigan oval in addition to the $9,500 Open Pace.

Hestherightstuff took the first-over journey to the winner’s circle in Saturday’s featured $15,000 Open Handicap Pace at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

Trainer/driver Dan Venier's homebred Herecomescharlie B cruised to victory in the $9,500 Open Trot on Friday night (Sept. 29), completing the mile in 1:56 flat. 

The Michigan Fair Stakes Finals, worth $20,000 each, were contested on Saturday evening (Sept. 23) at the Northville, Michigan oval where one track record was established and another was equalled.

Best Head West ($5.40) with Montrell Teague was a 1:54.1 winner in the $20,000 Mares Open Pace on Tuesday (Sept. 19) at Harrington Raceway, notching her third straight victory.
