Opioid crisis: New York sees 14% increase in overdose deaths, report says Health

Kentucky’s cities and counties have received their first installment of the state’s money from the national opioid settlement, most of which must be used to combat the opioid epidemic.

A task force holds overdose trainings around Chicago’s West Side six days a week. Members of the task force hit the streets to teach people how to use Narcan, a lifesaving nasal spray of naloxone.

Money to combat the opioid epidemic is coming from a $26 billion national settlement with Johnson & Johnson and the three top drug distributors.
