But their share of exports is just 4%. By value, they have 55% share of the $40 billion India smartphone market as Apple and Samsung have a dominance in the premium segment.

Smartphones: As India pursues an export-driven growth strategy in the electronics sector, the government has expressed growing concern over the minimal contribution of Chinese mobile phone brands to exports, despite dominating the domestic market. While Chinese firms like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Realme command a 74% share in the Indian mobile phone market by volume, their export share is only 4%.
